Tournament Sales Director

Job description:

Job Summary

Hillcrest Resort provides its membership with a full-service resort experience including a Champion Executive Golf Course, spectacular clubhouse featuring dining, campground, pro shop, pavilions and swimming pool. The Clubhouse recently underwent an extensive renovation making it one of the very best in the area. In addition to these amenities, and active swimming pool area compliments what has been the only family recreation area.
Hillcrest Resort is accepting qualified applications for the position of a Membership Sales Director to actively achieve goals pertaining to membership sales, relations, and programming.
 

Job Responsibilities
 

Improve Membership Sales at Hillcrest Resort
The Sales Director (SD) will be responsible for the achievement of new membership sales at the Resort.
 

Membership Relations
In partnership with the General Manager, the SD will primarily focus their efforts on member satisfaction through a wide array of tasks including member communications, event planning, programming, and building rapport with the members to insure the highest level of retention on an annual basis.

Member Communications Responsibilities:
--Monthly Club Newsletter: responsible for supplying content to printer
--Web-Site: Maintain Members-Only section with fresh news, photos, and events
--Birthdays/Anniversaries: Create incentive program & send out monthly to members
--Member Directory: Obtaining required information & sending to printer

Event Planning Responsibilities

Additional Job Responsibilities
Weekly Reporting
The SD will maintain a sales database of active membership. This report will be made available to the General Manager for review on a bi-weekly basis.


Paperwork Completion
The SD will be responsible for submitting completed paperwork and required paperwork for all sold memberships and events to the corresponding General Manager.

Proposed Compensation
Hillcrest Resort will offer qualified candidates the opportunity to earn a base salary * Golf and Pool Privileges, Meal and Beverage Discounts, and Merchandise Discounts. In addition, a performance-based commission plan will be in structured to reward the Sales Director on all new memberships sold along with annual retention.
 

Requirements:
The Club is seeking a motivated, self-starter who can achieve membership sales goals for the 2012 season and beyond. Although previous experience within a private club atmosphere is not required, a proven track-record of sales is. Plan


• Responsible to meet with the group holding the event to understand what kinds of amenities will be needed to be in place for the event to be successful. This will likely include several meetings for the event manager, including meetings with different departments within an organization.
Organize and Assign


• The event manager should organize those on the event staff by assigning them certain responsibilities to perform during the time leading up to the day of the event as well as during the event. Some of the responsibilities an event manager may need to assign in the days leading up to an event include assigning staff members to oversee catering services and décor. Coach, train and schedule banquet staff. Perform administrative functions as needed. Job devotes approximately 50% of time to selling and approximately 50% of time to banquet execution.

Hillcrest Resort Champion Executive Golf Course is seeking to fill this seasonal positions for golf starters. In the eyes of the customers the golf starter is the golf program . Hillcrest Resort employees service and behavior needs to be exceptional, the golfer will typically view the golf program as exceptional, when the service and behavior is above par. This position requires great tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Superior interpersonal skills and need to ensure first tee management and policy enforcement.

  • Affirm rental car and pull cart readiness and availability.

  • Welcome players and verify registration and payment of applicable fees.

  • Verify that golfers have cart rules, ground information, course and weather conditions.

  • Equip golfers with score cards, pencils and applicable information handouts.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR (Adult, Infant, Child)
Highly Desired Qualifications/Experiences: (Previous or Current)
Two or more years of experience teaching swimming lessons and or pool supervision
One or more years experience working with people of all ages.
One or more years related to pool supervision, life guarding and or pool maintenance.
One or more years creating and implementing lesson plans
Standard First Aid


Specific Responsibilities for Swimming Instructor Position:
1. Begin all classes on time and have a detailed lesson plan. Record class attendance daily.
2. Provide a quality lesson in an enjoyable atmosphere.
3. Instructors must be in the water at all times.
4. Communicate in a positive manner with reinforced feedback to participants and
parents/guardians.
5. Communicate with the Aquatic Coordinator or Head instructor at all times to ensure that a
positive atmosphere is experienced by all.
6. Use sound judgment, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
When in doubt, ask the Aquatic Coordinator for appropriate action/assistance.
7. Prepare a class certificate to give to each child at completion of session.

Pool Attendant 

 

Specific Responsibilities for Pool Attendant Position:


1. Check pool area for hazards by completing the pool safety checklist.
2. Report, document, and remedy all unsafe situations found.
3. Pick up and dispose of all trash from the pool deck.
4. Straighten all deck furniture; morning, noon, and evening.
5. Keep all pool storage areas neat and clean.
6. Record your work hour details on your time sheet.
7. Return any lost and found equipment to the front desk area and record it in the lost and found
book.
8. Perform all daily, weekly/monthly pool maintenance tasks as detailed on the maintenance
check list.
9. Maintain awareness of pool users and their actions. If needed, politely educate members of
pool rules and policies.
10. Perform other tasks related to the aquatic program in various capacities such as typing,
posting promotional material, maintenance and other duties as assigned.
